Police arrested five activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, and recovered two LG-guns, five petrol bombs and six cocktails in Khrisnarampur area in the district town this morning. The arrested were poura chhatra shibir president Gias Kamal Saju, office secretary Riajuddin, publicity secretary Ahasanullah, members of the organization Shamim Yusuf and Imtiaj Ahammed Bulbul. On a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested them from a mess of the area with the arms and bombs, said officer-in-charge of Sudharam Model Thana Anwar Hossain.
