The online application process for admission to private and government colleges under 2016-17 academic session will begin across the country on Thursday.The process will continue till June 9.
On May 12, the Education Ministry issued guidelines for admission to the 11th grade allowing an admission seeker to apply for up to 10 colleges through online and 10 others through SMS. Dhaka, UNB News Agency Reported.
The admission will be given based on the results of the Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations like the previous years.
All the educational institutions must complete the admission process through online while the admission seekers can apply by sending SMS from any number of Teletalk by June 9 next.
Those who passed the SSC examination in 2014 and 2015 can also apply for admission.The merit list will be published on June 16.
Admission and confirmation of selected students will have to be completed on June 18-22 while that of students in the waiting list on June 23-30.However, students can get admitted with late fees from July 10 to July 20. Classes will begin on July 10 this year.
As per the guidelines, the admission seekers will be able to apply through online by paying Tk 150.
The students, however, can apply for admission to up to 10 colleges through SMS by paying Tk 120 for each.
