We have learnt from the media that 485 primary schools are going to open VI grade next year as it is part of the national education policy 2011.Intermediate colleges should also open grade IX and X which is also a part of the education policy and which is very easy as we know that to open grade VI in the primary schools one has to find out whether qualified teachers are there or not.
Not very long ago, under a project some schools opened intermediate classes in their schools and some intermediate colleges wanted to open grades IX and X according to the project. But many schools opened intermediate classes but none of the intermediate colleges opened grade IX and X rather some of these colleges opened degree classes.
When a primary school teacher has to take classes without any break from start to finish of their school hours and sometimes has even to manage 2 to 3 classes at time whereas a teacher of an intermediate colleges takes one or two classes a week.
So, I would like to request the authorities concerned to open grade VI in some suitable primary schools and at the same time open grade IX in all the intermediate colleges as early as possible.
