Over 100 outsiders evicted from DU Jagannath Hall

Dhaka University administration, in a drive, has evicted more than 100 outsiders or illegal dwellers from Jagannath Hall and sealed 12 rooms on Monday night.DU authority conducted the drive at the Govindachandra Dev Building of the hall from 10.00pm Monday to early Tuesday.
Sources said the Jagannath Hall authority suddenly started the drive after closing the main entrance at around 10.30pm.
Entering every room they asked the students to show their identity cards. During the time more than 100 outsiders were ousted from the hall.”
Jagannath hall authority and the office of the Proctor conducted the drive, sources said.
Provost of Jagannath Hall Asim Sarker said, “We took the decision of the drive after holding a meeting on Monday evening.”
There were two kinds of illegal dwellers: outsiders and those who have finished student life two or three years ago, he said.
These rooms will be allotted to regular students, he said.
