Joypurhat, Mar 29 – Quoting Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s writing on Constitution, Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Thursday said only the people are the owners of the country, not any individual or his/her offspring.“No one can change the basic rights enunciated in the constitution. If any change is made, those will be rejected,” he said.
Addressing a mass-gathering organized by his party at Joypurhat Ramdeo Bajla High School Playground, he made these remarks as chief guest.
What is written in article 7 of the constitution can never be violated by any means, and by no loopholes of law, said Dr. Kamal.
Krishak Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddique Bir Uttam, and President of Joypurhat District Gono Forum Shyamol Kumar Saha among others spoke on the occasion. – UNB
