Phensidyle, yaba seized nine arrested

Dhaka – Detectives arrested five alleged criminals and recovered 1400 bottles of contraband phensidyle syrup along with one pistol from Darus Salam area in the city on Wednesday night. They arrested four others on the charge of carrying yaba tablets.
The arrestees are—Mamun, Liton, Arif Hossain, Sumon and Kashem.

Based on a secret information that a phensidyle consignment is being entered inside the capital, , a special team of Detective Branch (DB) of DMP started searching suspected vehicles from Wednesday evening at Darus Salam area.
At one stage, the detectives recovered 200 bottles of phensidyle searching a private car and arrested Mamun, Liton and Arif in this connection, One pistol was also recovered searching Mamun’s waist.
Based on their statement, the DB police challenged a sand-laden truck and recovered 1200 bottles of phensidyle. They also arrested Sumon and Kashem from the truck.
A case was filed with Darus Salam police station in this connection.
In another raid Detectives arrested four alleged drug paddlers and recovered 35,000 yaba tablets from Jatrabariu area on early Thursday.
Other three drug paddlers are Md Shukkur Ali alias Dealer Ali, Boss Harun, Yaba Karim and Harun-ur –Rashid.
Sources at the Detective Branch (DB) headquarter of Dhaka Metropolitan police said based on a secret information, a special DB team conducted a raid at Jatrabari area and challenged a brand new Nisan Jeep at around 12:25 am.
The detectives arrested the four drug dealers and recovered 35,000 Yaba tablets searching the car.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested gangsters revealed that drug emperor Jubayer has been involved in bringing yaba consignment in Bangladesh through Teknaf in Coxsbazar from Mayanmar and then sent those consignment in Dhaka by Shukkur Ali, a driver of Hanif Paribahan.
Later, the arrestees had been selling those contraband drug item in different areas in the capital. – News Desk
