Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Dhaka-Chittagong and Joydebpur-Mymensingh four-lane highways on July 2. The minister disclosed this while inaugurating the Mobile One-stop Motorcycle Registration programme of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority marking International Civil Service Day this (Thursday) morning. Dhaka, UNB News Agency Reported.
The one-stop motorcycle registration activities will extend across the country in phases later. The two highways will be completed three months ahead of the stipulated time, said the mister, adding they are Eid gifts of the prime minister for the country people.
The minister expected risk-free journey during Eid as most of the highways are in better condition this time.
