Deputy Inspector General(DIG) of police of Chittagong range Shafiqul Islam has said the police force has “the capability to avenge one killing with two”.
The DIG made the comment at a meeting titled “Resisting Sabotage and Law and Order Situation” at the Chouddagram High School ground here on Wednesday.
The meeting was arranged following a deadly petrol bomb attack on a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chouddagram upazila on Tuesday that left seven people dead and 16 others with burn injuries.
The DIG also urged the local people to guard the highways to prevent arson attacks on vehicles.
Deputy Commissioner of Comilla Hasanuzzaman Kollol, additional director general of Rab Col Zia, police super Rezaul Karim, among others, were present at the meeting with police super Tutul Chakravarty in the chair.
In another meeting held in comilla to prevent violence the DG of Rab Benazir Ahmed warned that legal revange for killing seven persons in petrol bomb attack at Chouddagram would be taken.
