The country made a record by producing 8942 MW of electricity on Saturday evening. Earlier, the highest generation 8776 MW of power was recorded on June 15 this year.Despite the highest generation, officials said, there are still some areas of the country that experience power cut due to poor transmission and distribution system.State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid recently said it will take two more years to address the weaknesses in the transmission and distribution system.He also said the country might be free from load-shedding by 2018.
