A five-member probe body was formed to investigate the fire incident at state-owned Star Jute Mill in Chandani Mahal area in Dighalia upazila on Monday night.
Md RoichUddin Ahmed, General Manager of the mill, said a five-member committee ,led by Manager (Technical) Shuvenru Kumar, was formed to investigate the incident.
The fire broke out at the waste thread pile of No 1 mill at 7:55pm. Later three units of Fire Service doused it after two hours of frantic efforts.
Dighalia Upazila Chairman Sheikh Maruful Islam and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Hafiz Al Asad visited the spot after the incident.
