Industries Minister Dilip Barua on Saturday urged the applied chemist and chemical engineers to generate green products in making the country prosperous.
He came up with the plea at a program at Teachers-Student Centre (TSC) in Dhaka University.
Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the university organised to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the department.
Addressing the programme, the minister said Bangladeshi applied chemists and chemical engineers have obtained name and fame for their contribution in different countries of the world.
“We have to utilize their knowledge and experience to develop the country”, the minister added.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique addressed the programme, among others, while Professor Dr AM Sarwar Uddin Chowdhury, Chairman of the department presided over the prgramme.
