Prof. Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Chairman of the Bishwa Shahitto Kendro, has consented to be the chief guest at the Fobana Convention being held in New York from August 30 to 01 September next. The 33rd Convention of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA) is going to be held from August 30 to September 1 in New York.
Mohammad Hossain Khan, chairman and other members of the FOBANA convention committee announced this at a news conference in New York on Wednesday evening.
The Convention is scheduled to be held at Le Guardia Hotel, New York. An elaborate programme has been taken up to make the 3-day meet a grand success.
The programme includes seminars on important national issues, cultural functions sharing of information on life and livelihood of expatriate Bangladeshis in the USA, according to information received from New York. – GreenWatch Dhaka News Desk
