A candidate of the ongoing Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations, who was injured in a road accident on Sunday, died at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Apu Shikdar, 10, student of class V of Shaheed Mahbub Smriti Government Primary School and son of Kawsar Shikdar of Gobra village in Sadar upazila.
Police said Apu was hit by a battery-run easy-bike at his village while returning home after his examination on Sunday at 2:00pm, leaving him severely injured.
He was first taken to Gopalganj Sadar hospital and then rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital on Sunday evening as his condition deteriorated.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital at 7:30am the next day. -UNB, Gopalganj
