Pulse husking mill worker, outlaw slaughtered

A worker of a pulse husking mill at Phulahari Bazar in Sailakupa upazila of the district was slaughtered to death on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Hasmat Ali, 60, of Ishwarrdi in Pabna. Hasmat was working there as a mechanic.Sailkupa police station officer in charge Anwar Hossain said, the local people at about 9.00 PM informed the matter to police when they saw the slained body of Hasmat Ali near the bridge at nearest Alamdanga village. Police sent the body to Jhenidah sadar hospital morgue for post mortem examination in the night.

The police had primarily traced the motive of the killing and identified the killers. A case will be filed with the police station, OC said.

Similarly, an outlaw was shot to death at Charatal village field on Wednesday night under Harinakundo upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Faruk Hossain alias Boma Faruk 45 son of Badar Uddin of Khayertala village under Jibon nagar upazila in chuadanga district. He was a listed criminal in Jibonnagar police station.

Officer in Charge (OC) Farid Uddin of Harinakundo police station said, locals found his body lying at Charatal villages field on Thursday morning at around 8-00 am. On information police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Jhenidah sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy. He is an accused of several cases including murder and extortion under Jobonnagar police stations. He might be killed by his rival group, the OC added.
