Communication Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday slammed the main opposition BNP for what he said issuing frequent threats of movement for realising their various demands, including restoration of the caretaker government to oversee elections.
“Those who don’t have the strength of waging any movement only issue much more threats of movement,” he told reporters during his visit to Shaheed Rafique Bridge at Hemayetpur here. The minister is of the view that BNP will not be able to build up any strong movement through it issues threats to do so frequently.
Rejecting the BNP’s core demand for restoration of the caretaker government system, Quader, also ruling Awami League presidium member, said the next general election will be held under the present government in a fair and neutral manner. – UNB
