Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday arrested four alleged members of the banned Islamic militant-Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) and recovered explosives and petrol bombs.
The arrested persons have been identified as Abdur Razzak Haider alis Mamun, 35, Ziaul Bari alias Dalim, 32, M Korban Ali alias Mohammad Ali alias Hanjala, 55 and M Mofazzal Hossain, 22.They are leader of JMB in Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Dinajpur areas.
The RAB team also recovered a grenade, 34 non-electronic detonators, 14 electric detonators, 2.5 kilogram splinters, 500 gram gun powder, one kilogram plastic explosive, 30 crude bombs, 12 petrol bombs, 2 kilogram marble, 500 gram sulfuric acid, one detonator box, one bundle electric wire and some zihadi books.
RAB raided a house at Prembagan area of East Mollartek of Uttara’s Dakhinkhan area in the city on Thursday late night. They arrested four JMB members and recovered the explosive from their possessions. – BSS
