Dhaka-Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 24,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets and arrested two alleged drug dealers along with a private car from Lalpole area of Feni on Thursday night.
The arrested drug dealers are– Md Abdul Wadud, 23, and Bikram Chandra Das, 24.
Sources at the Rab headquarters said a team of Rab-7 set up a check post in front of Nasir Memorial College of Lalpole under Feni Model police station at around 11:30 pm based on secret information that a private car carrying the yaba tablet consignment will cross the area.
When the suspected private was passing the area, the elite force intercepted it and found 24,000 pieces yaba tablets searching the car.
The elite force arrested Wadud and Bikram from inside the private car.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested Wadud and Bikram revealed that they have been involved in supplying yaba tablets in different areas of Comilla district.-News Desk
