The Killer of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Ibrahim Mullah of Darus Salam Police Station is a member of a organization, which do not support the country’s independence as well as do not like in stability of the country.
“ It seems to us the killer is a member of a organised criminal group, who do support the independence of the country as well as do not like satiability and also development of the country,” said Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque at Rajarbagh police line on Friday.
The IGP was talking to reporters after attending Namaz-e-janaja of slained ASI Ibrahim who was stabbed to death by miscreant in Gabtoli bus terminal area on Thursday night.
One miscreant stabbed Ibrahim indiscriminately when he challenged him suspiciously just after getting down from a bus near Parbata Cinema Hall of Gabtali at around 8:45 pm. ASI Ibrahim was check post duty there. However, his team members caught one Masudur Rahman, who was supposed accomplice of the fled criminal. Ibrahim was taken to Suhrawardi Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The IGP said police conducted raids in Kamrangichar area based on information given by detained Masud and arrested three suspects from the area. Police operation to arrest other criminals, members of the organised group, has been continued in this regard, he added.
He did not elaborate about the organised organisation saying that investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, the body of ASI)Ibrahim Mullah was sent to his village home of Bagerhat after Jummah Prayer at Rajarbagh Police Line.
Earlier, Dr Pradip Biswash of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Forensic department completed the post mortem of ASI Ibrahim at the hospital’s morgue at around 12:30 pm.
Hospital sources said three marks of stab injuries—one at his chest, one left side of his belly and another his right side—were found at his body.-News desk
