The bi-election for the position of the chairman of Naldanga union parishad under Jhenidah sadar upazila passed off peacefully. Rabiul Islam was declared as the chair unofficially by the election commission in Jhenidah. He bagged 4514 votes, while his nearest candidate Serajul Islam secured 3,412 votes.Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman, returning officer of the bi-polls said, a total of 16,456 voters were expected to cast their through 44 booths in nine centres. –Our Correspondent, Jhenidah
