Dhaka – A delegation of Jatiya Party (Ershad) led by Begum Raushan Ershad arrived at Ganobhaban this (Thursday) evening to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.A highly placed source at Ganobhaban said the Jatiya Party delegation reached the PM’s official residence in the evening and sat in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
According to the source, Raushan Ershad is likely to discuss the seat sharing with the ruling Awmi League.
Raushan has been at Ganobhaban at a time when Jatiya Party HM Ershad pulled back his party from the election and asked his party candidates to withdraw their nominations.
Ershad also sent a letter to the Election Commission requesting it not to allocate his party’s symbol ‘plough’ to anybody or organisation except his party.
Tomorrow (Friday) is the last date or withdrawal of candidature, according to the election – UNB
