Re-fresher course for teachers held

A day long re-fresher course for the teachers of Mandir –based child
and mass education programme was held at local circuit house here
Yesterday (Monday).
Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi  Obaidul  Azam inaugurated the course
as chief guest with Additional District Magistrate Kamal Hossain in
the chair
Dipti Dash, Assistant Director of the programme, Narsingdi presented
the welcome speech on the re-fresher course.
A total of 115 teachers from all Mandir-based child and mass education
centers of Narsingdi and Gaji pur district ,52 teachers from six
upazilas of Narsingdi district and 63 from five upazilas of Gaji pur
district took part in the Re-fresher course organised by office of
Narisngdi Mandir-based child and mass education programme.
Among others upazlia Nirbahi officer Monohardi, Golam mostafa, upazlia
Nirbahi officer Belabo, Nasir uddin, upazlia Nirbahi officer Shibpur
Monira Begum, BSS Narsingdi district Correspondent Mohammad Abu Taher
and member of monitoring committee of the prgramme Babu Ranjit Kumer
Shaha addressed in the re-fresher course.
Speakers said the mandir based child and mass education programme has
been eradicating illiteracy among the poorer section and disadvantage
groups successfully in both the districts. Thy said a total of 3450
children both male and female have been studying now in 115
Mandir-based child and mass education centers in Narsingdi and Gajipur
district.
