Dhaka, April 03 – A major reshuffle in police administration has been carried out by transferring nine senior police officers on Wednesday.
Of the officers, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Headquarters Md Humayun Kabir has been transferred as Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police , DIG of Industrial Police in Dhaka Md Shahabuddin Khan was made Police Commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police and DIG of Anti Terrorism Unit in Dhaka Khandaker Lutful Kabir has been transferred as Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police while DIG of Police Headquarters Md Anwar Hossain was made Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police AKM Hafiz Akter has been transferred as DIG of Rajshahi Range and Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police YM Belalur Rahman was made DIG of Police Headquarters while DIG of Rajshahi Range M Khurshid Hossain has been transferred as DIG of Police headquarters in Dhaka while DIG of Khulna Range Md Didar Ahmed was made DIG of Anti Terrorism Unit in Dhaka.
On the other hand, DIG of Police headquarters in Dhaka Dr Khandaker Mahid Uddin was made DIG of Khulna Range.
The home ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard yesterday. – Staff Reporter
