The BNP-led 20-party opposition alliance on Monday reiterated the demand for returning of untraced BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed hale and hearty.
In a press statement signed by BNP joint secretary general Barkatullah Bulu, the alliance also called upon all democratic minded organisations and parties, upholding human values, to raise their voices for return of Salahuddin.“The government which failed to provide safety and security to its citizen have also failed to produce Salahuddin Ahmed before the court today (Monday),” said the statement.
It said the concern of people as well as family of Salahuddin cannot influence the government or its behaviour.
The people are stunned and aggrieved at the irresponsible statements and cruel jokes by responsible person of the government, it added. – Staff Reporter
