Police arrested an alleged robber in possession of an American made pistol and five rounds of bullet from Maharajpur area in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Biplob Sheikh, a resident of Karimpur village in the upazila.Sayed Mohsinul Haque, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area in the early morning and arrested Biplob.Police also recovered an American made pistol and five rounds of bullet from his possession.The arrestee was member of an inter-district robber gang, the OC added.
A case was filed against him under the Arms Act. -UNB, Faridpur
