The authority of Rajshahi Universiy (RU) has celebrated the national victory day amid festivity and various programs.At the dawn of the day National Flag were hoisted at administrative building, halls and others bulding. University VC Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin, Pro-VC Professor Chowdhury Sarwar jahan, Registrar Professor Md. Anthazul Haque and many others high officials placed the wreath at Shaheed Minar and observed one minute silent paying solemnity to the National Martyrs at 6.00am.
Rajshahi University Teachers Association (RUTA), different Halls, and others organizations also placed the wreath at Shaheed Minar showing respect to the martyrs.
University School organized parade one different types of sports where University VC took their greeting.
A festive Fair also held at the premises of the Sheik Model School where VC inaugurated it.
Rest of the function of the day includes, Drawing competition, Disscussion of program of different organizations, Cultural function of different cultural organization, recitation of the holy Quran at the mosque for the salvation of departed souls of the martyrs.
On the occasion of this day Shaheed Sriti Songrohosala, and Barendra Research Museum (BRM) were opened from 8.00am to 5.00pm and 11.00am to 5.00pm respectively.
