RU officer gets “Taekwondo award”

Rajshahi, Oct 17 – As recognition for spreading and developing Taekwondo teaching in Bangladesh an officer of Rajshahi University (RU) has received “Taekwondo” award” a physical exercised based organization in South Korea. The award was given in headquarter at Kukkiwon in South Korea of World Taekwondor Federation on Monday, said a press release. He has been selected for the award from “WT partnership Taekwondo program-2018” in South Korea.
The awarded is Md Kamruzzaman Chanchol, assistant director of University Physical Education and Sports Science department and general secretary of Rajshahi district Taekwondo Association. 6Dan Black beltTaekwondo referee Grandmaster Ruju Chetrri handed over the award as chief guest. Chanchal said, “It is my great achievement and it is inspired me for working Taekwondo in Rajshahi district”.
“Besides, the students of the university are participating hugely at the gymnasium of the campus. Two students of the campus also got awarded from the organization recently, he added. Taekwondo also expressed keen interest to sign in Memorandum of Understanding with Rajshahi University”, he added. – RU Correspondent
