Rajshahi – Observing the death anniversary of BCL activist Shaheed Faruque Hossain Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Rajshahi University (RU) unit brought out a mourn rally on the campus on Wednesday.Starting from their political tent the rally was terminated in front of the Shah Makhdum Hall of the university what was the residential hall of Shaheed Faruque Hossain with a gathering.
Moderated by university secretary Faisal Ahmed Runu, president Golam Kibria of the unit and Faruque’s sister Asma Begum spoke at the program while they demanded the justice of Faruque’s killing.
Later, they also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of the recently died Sri Suranjit Sengupta, member of the advisory council of Bangladesh Awami League and Jahanara Jaman, wife of Shaheed H M Kamruzzaman Hena.
Faruque a student o Mathematics department of the university and also activist of BCL of the unit was killed in a political clash on February 8 2010 on campus. – RU Correspondent
