Two new departments have been launched in the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). The two departments are Electric and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Chemical and Food Process Engineering (CFPE).On Sunday a university press released said this.Press released said ECE department has been included into the faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).It is expected on behalf of the university authority that this department will be capable of making skilled man power in the field of Information Technology where it will start its journey through the admission of students for current 2015-16 sessions.
On the other hand, CFCE department has been included into the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It is also expected that this department will be able to make skilled man power in food processing sector of the Country.
University Vice-Chancellor said regarding this, Bangladesh is going ahead to the process of digitalization led by present government in fact these two departments will be congenial to this process and food security of the country.
