Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander A Nikolaev called on Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at his ministry here today.During the call on, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially cooperation in education sector between the two friendly countries.While exchanging views with the envoy, the Minister gratefully acknowledged the great contribution of the people and government of the then Soviet Union to the independence of Bangladesh.Nahid also recalled active participation of the then U S S R in the rebuilding of War ravaged Bangladesh.Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Education Md Helaluddin was present during the call on .
