Cultural Correspondent
The new committee of Jatiya Kabita Parishad (National Poetry Council) for the term 2019-2021 was announced in the National Poetry Festival which was held in the city recently.
Noted poet and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Muhammad Samad and Tarik Sujat have been selected again respectively as the president and general secretary of the Parishad.
Poets Rabiul Husain, Rubi Rahman, Anwara Syed Haque, Shihab Sarkar, Makid Haider, Kajal Bandyopadhyay and Aslam Sunny have been selected as members of the presidium body.
Joint secretary in the new committee is Aminur Rahman Sultan, Organisational Secretary is Dilara Hafiz, Financial Secretary is Khorshed Bahar, Publishing Secretary is Pias Majid, Publicity Secretary is Nasir Ahmed, Office Secretary is Hanif Khan, Information and Research Secretary is Anjir Liton, Cultural Secretary is Nipu Shahadat, Secretary for seminar-related affairs is Faizul Alam Pappu, International Secretary is Harisul Haque.
Members of Executive Committee are- Munir Siraj, Asad Mannan, Rabindra Gope, Anisul Haque, Amirul Islam, Mustafa Majid, Faruk Mahmud, Alam Talukder, Bulbul Mohalanbish, Joidul HOssain, Fanindranath Rai, Matendra Mankhin, Nahar Farid Khan, Theofil Knockrek, MR Monju, Badrul Haider, Mrittika Goon and Masud Pathik. A seven member advisory board has also been formed. The advisors are- Mohmmad Rafiq, Mahadev Saha, Nirmalendu Goon, Habibullah Sirajee, Muhammad Nurul Huda, Nuh-ul-Alam Lenin and Quazi Rosy.
Associate members of the Executive Committee are- Mong E Khen Mong MOng, Alim Haider, Giasuddin Chasha, Sharafat Hossai and Shikha Sarkar.
