From being the most awaited film of the year to becoming the biggest opener, Sanju has broken many records in just a week. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role, Sanju narrates the life of Sanjay Dutt through his dark times. Drug abuse, alcoholism, womanizing and scandals, Sanju has all the masala of a Bollywood entertainer and it reflects well in its box-office collections as well.Opening with a whopping INR 34.75 crores, Sanju is on a dream run entering its second week with a monstrous INR 202.51 crores already in its kitty. Going by the predictions, Sanju will easiy cross the 300 crore mark too by the end of its second week.
The film is not just a feather on Rajkumar Hirani’s streak at the box-office but is also Ranbir Kapoor’s highest grossing film of all time, crossing Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’s INR 188 crores, reports ANi.
