Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) asked its probe body to submit the report on Savar Rana Plaza collapse within 10-day after the completion of rescue operation.Wishing anonymity, a member of the probe body said, “A letter has been issued to us in this regard.”
On the other hand, BGMEA president Atiqul Islam, in a press conference on April 28, said that BGMEA formed a nine-member probe body, which would submit report within next 10 days.
In reply to a query over this delay, the source said, “Report submission deadline has been extended as it is not possible to prepare a complete report before end of rescue operation.”
BGMEA authority declined to make any comment over the matter.
The probe body was formed, including five directors and two officials of BGMEA and two labour leaders. Banglanews24.com
