SC to pass order Tuesday on BGMEA building case

Dhaka, March 25 – The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court yesterday decided to pass order about Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) building on March 27.The four-member Appellate Division bench, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain fixed the date on Sunday morning.
Senior lawyer Kamrul Haque Siddique moved for the BGMEA while advocate Manjil Morshed stood on behalf of the writ petitioner.
Earlier on March 5, BGMEA authorities appealed seeking one year more to demolish their multistoried building.
The 15-storey building stands on a critical spot in Dhaka, blocking the connection between two large water bodies –Hatirjheel lake and Begunbari canal. – Special Correspondent
