SCC yet to remove campaign ads

Campaign posters and banners put up across the Sylhet city have not
yet been taken off. This is causing inconvenience to pedestrians and
commuters.
Seven days ago the city corporation polls took place and still the
campaign advertisements are seen tangled with electric poles, walls
and railings of buildings. The city dwellers have alleged that the
banners and posters were creating inconvenience to their movement.
Apart from creating troubles to the commuters, heaps of polythene
coated posters impede the free flow of narrow suaface drains in
different areas.
The SCC authorities, however, claimed that the clean-up has begun on
Wednesday. SCC chief engineer Nur Azizur Rahman told journalists the
clean-up was delayed due to ladder shortage.
