A schoolboy was killed as a truck knocked down the bicycle he was travelling by near Balua Bazar on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Gobindaganj upazila on Tuesday morning.The deceased was identified as Moksedul, class IX student of a local school and a resident of Bahona village of the same upazila.Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj highway police camp Masud Parvej said a speeding truck hit the bicycle of Moksedul in the area at about 10:00 am when he was on way to school, leaving him dead on the spot.Police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy.Police also seized the killer truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Gaibandha
