A schoolboy was killed and two others injured in a road accident on the Rupsha Khan Jahan Ali Bridge of the city on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Amit Hassan, 14, a student of class VIII of Khulna Model School and resident of West Bania Khamar area of the city.Local people said the accident took place when a Khulna-bound truck from Mongla, Bagherhat hit Amit while he was visiting the bridge with two of his friends around 10am, leaving him dead on the spot and his two friends injured.The Injured were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue.Officials at Laboonchora Police Station confirmed the incident.In another accident a school boy was crushed under the wheels of a truck on Bogra-Rangpur highway in Gokul area of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Riyad, 11, son of Milon of Gokul Uttarpara area and a class V student of the Gokul Primary school.Witnesses said accident took place when the truck hit Riyad while he was riding a bicycle in the area around 9:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.As the news spread around, agitated people blocked the highway.On information, Police and BGB members rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control around 10:30am.UNB, Khulna
