Schoolboy sued for spreading girl’s blue photo

A case was filed against two schoolboys under the Pornography Control Act 2012 on Saturday as they allegedly spreading a doctored nude image of a class VIII girl of their school on the internet, causing the victim a severe mental shock that forced her to be hospitalised.

According to the victim, a student of Tafalbari Collegiate School in Sadar upazila, Rabbi Jamaddar, 15, and Razib Hawladar, 13, students of class IX and class VII respectively of the same school, forcefully took her photo with a mobile phone on September 13 last.

Later, the face of the photo was manipulated with a nude image and spread on the internet to harass the girl.

Officer-in-charge of Swarankhola Police Station Md Rezaul Karim said the victim’s father filed a case with the police station under the Pornography Control Act 2012 and Information Communication Technology (Amendment) Act 2013 against the two boys.

Earlier on September 16, the victim’s father lodged a written complaint with the school authorities in this connection.

Acting principal of Tafalbari Collegiate School Mawlana Mosharef Hossain said they have already expelled the two accused and formed a six-member probe body to investigate the incident further.

Meanwhile, the girl, who was utterly shocked after coming to know that her manipulated nude image had already been spread in the internet, was admitted to Sadar Hospital with severe mental trauma.
