A secondary schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Kodomtali in the Bashabo area of the capital on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sadia Salam Shipun, 11, a student of class-VI of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College.Sadia committed suicide at her room by hanging herself with a scarf reportedly centering on love affairs and family feud, said Chapal, cousins of Sadia.
Rabiul Islam, a Sub-Inspector of Sabujbagh police Station, said the dead body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy. After getting the report we can inform about the cause of her dead.
Investigation is underway to unearth the mystery behind the unnatural death, the SI added.
