Dhaka -A schoolgirl was killed and another injured when a bus knocked her down on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Gomta in Chandina upazila in Cumilla on Tuesday.The deceased was identified as Aklima Akter, 16, a student of Gomta Isakia High School and daughter of Aboti Mia of Bhabtipara in Muradnagar upazila.
Manirul Islam, in-charge of Eliotganj police camp, said the accident took place in the area when a speeding bus knocked her down while she was returning home from school, leaving her dead on the spot.A man was also injured in the accident and he was taken to local hospital.UNB
