A minor schoolgirl was raped by a youth at Satbaria in Puthia upazila on Sunday.
The victim’s family members said the young man named Saddam Hossain of the same village took the girl, a class IV student of Satbaria Government Primary School, to a nearby field at about 10:00am when she went to collect flowers near her house and violated her.Later, the girl informed the incident to her mother.She was first taken to Puthia Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.A case was filed by the victim’s father with Puthia Police Station, said Abu Obaida Khan, officer-in-charge of Puthia Police Station. -UNB, Rajshahi
