Dhaka–A sedition complaint has been filed against Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of English daily The Daily Star, for publishing corruption reports against Awami League president Sheikh Hasina,supplied by DGFI, without any verification.
Mostafizur Rahman Dulal, an assistant public prosecutor of Dhaka Special Judges Court-9, filed the complaint with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday around 10.30am.
Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Rani Chakrobarti recorded the complaint and will pass an order later on the day, said Bench Assistant Azmal Hossain.- UNB
