Seven Agri Varsities’ Cluster Admission test held

Mymensingh, Dec 1 – For the first time, seven agricultural degree offering universities’ cluster system admission test in 2019-20 academic year was held on Saturday morning. This year Bangladesh Agricultural University leading the admission test under the supervision of University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Cluster system admission test was held at 6 different venues including Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU), Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).
During the admission test, the chairman of the central admission test committee and Vice-Chancellor of BAU Prof Dr Lutful Hassan along with UGC member Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum, admission committee members visited different rooms of the examination centre.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Lutful Hassan said, ‘The cluster system admission test had successfully completed with no irregularities. The government had asked to take cluster system admission test to reduce the sufferings of the students and their guardians. So we seven Vice-Chancellor of agricultural degree offering universities decided to take cluster system admission test.’
UGC member Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum said we want to take cluster university admission test for engineering universities in future based on the success of agricultural university cluster admission test system. We have also thoughts for online admission test in the near future to avoid question leakage.
Convener of admission test committee of BAU and dean of Agriculture Faculty Prof Dr Md Jahiruddin said, ‘About 70 percent students participated in the admission test of six venues. The admission test was completed well and no irregularities were reported.’
