Popular band maestro Shafin Ahmed is now looking to extend his forte beyond the music industry. Soon he will be seen as an actor in a TV drama. The drama will be aired on Maasranga TV during the coming Eid fiesta. It will run as a series for six days from the Eid day. The short drama serial “Rhythm of Life” has been written by Ahmed Tahsin Shams and directed by Farhad Ahmed. In the drama Shafin will act opposite popular model Suzana. The drama is being produced by Grameenphone Ltd and Alpha-Eye Media Productions Ltd.
The story of “Rhythm of Life” is about the struggles and success of a musician in his way of life. Shafin Ahmed will act in the lead role as a musician.
Shafin Ahmed was pretty straightforward in admitting that he is yet to learn the arts of acting as he is originally a man of music. He reflected that a lot of dramas were proposed to him before but he refused every time as he is not a prolific actor. But the character that he would play in “Rhythm of Life” is very much akin to his own character. Thus he felt that he can play it with ease. Suzana claimed Shafin to be one of her favourite singers and that she is very happy working with him. The director Farhad said that the team is undergoing a lot of hard work to complete the production work under the impression that they can bring out a truly different drama. According to the scriptwriter Shams, the drama has a lot of twists and turns which may certainly enchant modern viewers. Shahriar Shakil, managing director of Alpha-Eye Media Productions Ltd echoed the same optimism stating that they have done everything necessary to project the story of the drama as a realistic one.
