Today marks the one hundredth birth anniversary of legendary singer Manna Dey. Marking his mark centenary a mega event was organised in Kolkata, India yesterday. Bangladeshi singer Shusmita Anis was invited to perform in this programme. Along with her Indian stars Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Aarti Mukhopadhyay, Usha Uthup, Monomoy Bhattacharya, Raghav Chattopadhyay, Lopamudra Mitra, Indrani Sen, Saikat Mitra and more performed at the event. Actors like Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Madhabi Mukhopadhyay, Prosenjit Chattopadhyay were also present at the event. West Bengal’s Fire Minister Sujit Bose inaugurated the commemorative programme at Mahajati Sadan of Kolkata.
About her participation Shusmita Anis said, “All the famed Indian-Bengali singers were to appear in this event.
