Six Bangladeshis picked up by BSF

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up six Bangladeshi nationals from borders in Sunamganj, Panchagarh and Thakurgaon districts on Sunday and Saturday night.UNB Sunamganj Correspondent said: BSF members picked up four Bangladeshis when they were collecting woods along Laurergarh border in Tahirpur upazila on Saturday night. Local BGB confirmed the matter.
The four Bangladeshis are Pahar Ali, 40, son of Asar Ali, Shukur Ali, son of Sanu Mia, Nayeb Ali, 50, son of Marjut Ali and Shahjahan Mia, 50, son of Helal Uddin of Moksedpur village in Tahirpur upazila.
UNB Thakurgaon Correspondent said: BSF jawans caught a Bangladeshi from Dabri border in Haripur upazila on Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Imani Hossain, 32, son of Abdur Rashid of Geuradangi village of the same upazila.
Commander of 30 Battalion BGB Lt. Colonel Abu Bakkar said the BSF members of their Phulbari camp held Imani while he was going to India through the border at about 9 am.
UNB Panchagarh Correspondent said: the BSF jawans kidnapped a Bangladeshi construction worker from Sannashipara area in Tetulia upazila on Sunday.
Local BGB said the BSF men of their Hatirampur camp entered Bangladesh territory and caught Shariful Islam, 28, and took him to their land while he was taking bath in Mahananda River at about 4 pm.
He was along with other workers were engaged in river bank protection work of Water Development Board in the area.
Other workers fled the area sensing the presence of the BSF jawans. UNB
