Kushtia, Oct 8 -The body of Buet student Abrar Fahad, who was beaten to death allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League activists of the university unit, was brought in the town on Tuesday morning. A heart-rending scene was created when an ambulance carrying Abrar’s body reached his residence on PTI road in the town at around 5 am. Relatives, neighbours broke down in tears seeing the body of the young boy.
Hundreds of people attended the second namaz-e-janaza of Abrar Fahad held in front of Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub Alam Hanif’s residence at around 6 am.
Abrar’s body was taken to his village home at Raidanga village in Kumarkhali Upazila at 8 am
where he will be buried at his family graveyard after the third namaz-e- janaza there.
Hundreds of people gathered there to have a glimpse of Abrar’s body.
Earlier, police arrested nine leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League in connection with the killing of Abrar on Monday and his father filed a case against 19 BCL men with Chawkbazar Police Station. – UNB
