Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday arrested an officer of Sonali Bank along with his wife on charge of misappropriating Taka 3.11 crore from Sadarpur branch of the bank here.According to official sources, Zakir Hossain, 51, has been serving as a cash officer at Sadarpur branch of the bank for 10 years. He allegedly misappropriated Taka 3 crore 11 lakh of 138 depositors. He deposited the money with his wife Sheuly Begum’s account through fraudulent practices, the sources added.Both the husband and wife were arrested after investigation by the ACC and handed over to local Kotwali Police Station. –BSS, Faridpur
