A woman was crushed to death under the wheels of a speeding truck in
Talgasi bus stand area of Shahjadpur upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Selina Begum alias Jyotsna, 40, wife of
Jamal Hossain of Jagannathpur village in the upazila.
Sub-inspector Durul Huda of Hatikumrul highway police station said a
Pabna-bound goods-laden truck coming in a high speed from Bogra ran
into Selina while she was crossing the road at about 4.00pm, leaving
her dead on the spot.
Locals caught the killer truck but its driver and helper managed to
flee the scene.
