The Pir Shaheb of Charmonai on Friday called for stern punishment against killers and rapists of children and women and protested the steps taken by the government f India to implement the river interlinking project depriving Bangladesh.The Pir Shaheb Mufti Moulana Syed Rezaul Karim was addressing a rally of Islami Andolan Bangladesh of which he is the Ameer at the House Building Corporation office area.
The Pir Shaheb said if the government cannot stop abduction, killing, gangrape rape and repression on women and children it should resign.
Presided over by IAB Dhaka city unit president Moulana ATM Hemayetuddin, the function was also addressed by secretary general of IAB Moulana Yunus Ahmed, Prof. Mahbubur Rahman among others. – Press release
