‘Take corrupt, partisan judges away from sacred chair’

Barrister Mahbubuddin Khokan who has been reelected secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association has urged the Chief Justice to remove those judges who deliver judgments through corrupt means or on partisan basis from the sacred chair of courts. Talking to members of the bar at its south hall in the Supreme Court compound soon after the announcement of results on Tuesday the SCBA secretary said people come to courts with high hopes of getting justice, but are hurt as a section of corrupt judges deliver judgments by being influenced politically.
Barrister Khokan said such judges should be brought down from the sacred chair of courts. He said he had been elected to the SCBA to work for rule of law in the country. – News Desk
